Project done for L5 'anticipating' unit which deals with a sociopolitical topic of our choosing. I created a fantasy adoption pack for a toy that I handmade out of secondhand materials with the idea of promoting and educating about sustainability and raising money for environmental charities. My design inspiration was mushrooms and abstract mould formations, and I wanted each element of the project to remind the consumer to rethink their attitudes towards our planet and live a more sustainable lifestyle.
The toy itself comes contained in a glass container to replicate a terrarium, and the idea is to have it act as a piece of art in the home which will remind you of the importance of sustainability whenever you see it.

Hand sewn with secondhand faux fur and stuffed using waste plastic.

Hat made from faux fur fabric and decorated to replicate mould patterns.

Handmade interchangeable charms inspired by the planet. I glass sculpted the mushroom beads.

Poster with sustainability tips.
